Energy (kWh) = average watts ÷ 1,000 × hours. Electricity cost = energy × your price per kWh.

How to use this result

Heated beds and chambers can make average draw vary by material and ambient temperature. Use a full print-cycle average instead of the printer power supply rating.

Example

A printer averaging 120 W for eight hours uses 0.96 kWh. At 0.18 per kWh, that is 0.1728 in electricity.
