How the calculation works

Scale % = target dimension ÷ original dimension × 100. For uniform scaling, volume and approximate weight change by the scale factor cubed.

How to use this result

The weight estimate assumes uniform scaling with identical wall, infill, support, and slicer behavior. Fixed wall counts and minimum feature sizes often mean real material use does not scale perfectly by volume.

Example

Scaling an 80 mm model to 120 mm means 150% linear scale but 337.5% theoretical volume.
