Print cost

Failed Print Cost Calculator

Measure what retries cost so a successful job is not priced as though every attempt worked first time.

Inputs

How the calculation works

Failure cost = failed attempts × (power + machine + labor + material × (1 − recoverable share)).

How to use this result

Use a realistic partial-attempt cost when failures usually happen early. Material recovery may be zero for mixed, contaminated, or unsupported recycling workflows; electricity, labor, and machine time are not recovered.

Example

One failed attempt before a successful part can add the full process cost even when some material can be reused.
