3D Print Wall Thickness Calculator
Turn a functional wall target into a slicer-friendly perimeter count, then see the actual thickness it produces.
How the calculation works
Required perimeters = ceiling(target wall thickness ÷ line width), respecting the minimum perimeter count. Actual wall = perimeters × line width.
How to use this result
Slicers may vary line width, gap fill, and thin-wall behavior, so inspect the preview for critical dimensions. This helper is most useful when translating a design requirement into a simple perimeter count.
Example
A 1.6 mm wall with 0.45 mm lines needs four perimeters, yielding about 1.8 mm before slicer-specific adjustments.
